BRO. DAVID MASON
Deaf Pastor of Liberty Baptist Church of the Deaf
I was born in Peoria, Illinois and grew up in Tuscon, Arizona. I graduated from Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind and National Technical Institute of the Deaf. In October 1990, I accepted Jesus the Lord as my personal Savior. In April 1991, I received a great blessing to be married to Cheryl Mason, which she prayed and waited for seven years. My wife and I were members of First Bible Baptist Church in Rochester, New York for ten years. We have two children, Jonas and Anna. Since I graduated from North Star Bible Institute in 1997, I prayed to the Lord for what he would like me to do for Him. One night in February 1999, I received an unexpected phone call from Pastor Eugene Bordean, Columbus, Ohio. He asked me if I was interested to be an assistant pastor as he was dying of pancreatic cancer. The Lord touched my heart and it was the Lord's plan. My family and I moved to Columbus, Ohio in July 1999. It is an honor to serve the Lord as a pastor for Liberty Baptist Church of the Deaf for 16 years.
